After an amazing 4 days in Dublin it was time to move on. Jared and I packed up, said goodbye to friends, and headed to Connoly Train station to catch out connection to Belfast.....we were three hours early. So we posted up in a little coffee shop and watched the massive amount of Irish families........so severly burnt from the unusally hot weather.....catch trains back home after vacationing in dublin for the weekend. The train ride through the country side was spectacular. The hills were remarkably green and the ocean side was stunning. The train only took 2 hrs and when we arrived in Belfast we just started walking. I had no idea where I was going.....yet Jared always assumed I did. We wandered through the city and somehow managed to find the Linen House Hostel....which ended up being much more like the hostels I remembered. We had been spoiled in Dublin but this hostel was still pretty nice. After checking in, we discovered the entire town to be deserted. Being in Northern Ireland and it being a sunday, we struggled to even find food. Once back at the hostel we quickly made friends with a scot who decided to join our adventure to find food. We ended up finding a nice restaurant and an off license (liquor store) and headed back to the hostel to make some friends. There we met some canadians, a slovenian, two brazilians, a kid from Uruguay, and a swede. After having a few drinks we decided as a collective that we wanted to go out and hit the town......even though it was sunday.....this ended up being a huge mistake. We walked probably 6 miles in one giant circle. We all still managed to have a good time....which included a game of soccer with a water bottle and some on the spot street dancing. The city itself seemed much more conservative then Dublin but shared the same beautiful architecture. It was nice because I managed to catch up on alot of sleep! Next Stop.....Glasgow, Scotland.
